Dan and Jean's Watermill Wedding
Watermill Caterers is one of our favorite venues on Long Island and so we were absolutely thrilled when we had the opportunity to design for Dan and Jean's springtime wedding. Both bride and groom wanted to remain pretty hands off in the design process so we followed the limited direction we were given, which was to utilize white flowers, and brought their vision to life.
The day started with the ceremony at St. Edward's Church in Syosset, NY, where we adorned the alter and pews with white flower and tulle. To bring variety to the picture, we created both elevated pieces as well as sprays, and brought in a number of white and green plants. It really helped keep things interesting at this already-beautiful church.
During the evening reception, we decorated the room with three different types of centerpieces, two tall and one low to once again bring dimension to the scene. The consistent flower throughout the evening was orchid, the bride and groom's favorite. We completed the look with custom table clothes and chair covers, and plenty of candles. It was truly a romantic setting for the new happy bride and groom.
The evening wrapped up with a wild after-party at the Watermill, where we brought in lounge furniture and club-like lighting to really set the mood. The guests and newlyweds had a blast! It was a night to remember.
