Romantic or Funny Story: Eric and I met while working at a school for children with Autism. We were both attracted to each other right away, but we did not act on it for almost a year. On Valentine's day '99, we went out with some friends to a bar. We were both commiserating about our lackluster love life! We stayed out until the wee hours in the morning. When it was time to go, we both moved in for the kiss, but then hesitated and walked away. 3 weeks later we had our first official date and kiss. Almost 4 years later, Eric proposed in the cutest way!

That night, Eric and I were painting our office. We had been bickering all day. Little did I know that he had the ring in his pocket all day! So, we decided to test the paint on the wall. Eric had asked me to clean some brushes in the kitchen. When I came back, "our song" ("I'll be" by Edwin McCain)was playing on the computer. I looked at Eric and he got down on one knee. Still confused, I looked at the wall and he had painted, "marry me" in big bold letters! I dropped to my knees crying and said yes!
