Romantic or Funny Story: Brian showed up at my part-time job at a card store on July 16, 2002. I was working on filling in the greeting cards when he came walking in and down the aisle. He said that he had to talk to me about something important and that he had been hiding something from me. Expecting something terrible, my stomach immediately dropped and I asked him to leave. He said he loved me, but at this point I didn't know what he had been hiding from me and honestly did not want to here anything bad- especially not at work. I practically threw him out of the store, except he would not leave. He asked me if I loved him and I said yes,and before I could add that if he was hiding something terrible from me that wasn't going to matter, he pulled out the ring and asked me if I would marry him. This was totally unexpected and I just started laughing and turned around and walked a few steps away from him. Realizing that this was really happening, I started shaking, laughing and crying all at once and answered "yes". Needless to say, I didn't get much work done for the rest of the 2 1/2 hours I had at work!
